Deborah Bush

Deborah Bush

Deborah is Founder of Horizon Worksite Advisors, LLC located in the Nashville, Tennessee area, focusing in the Southeast area of the country since 2010. Deborah has eighteen years of experience specializing in the group small to middle market business worksite and group retiree market providing benefit services to employers and individuals. She has certifications in Self-Funded Group, AHIP Medicare, Long Term Care and with the Federal Facilitated Marketplace for individual health. Deborah also partners with other brokerage firms and financial advisors to assist them with their client's individual and senior health plan needs.

Previously, Deborah served as a national benefits consultant and enrollment coordinator for Colonial Life, a national employee benefits firm. She has extensive experience and expertise in the areas of worksite consulting, broker development and employee benefit implementation.

Deborah started her insurance career with MetLife specializing in life insurance. Her professional background also includes working in a variety of managerial positions within a Fortune 500 company.

Her management responsibilities included Workers Compensation, General Liability and Environmental Reimbursement Claims. Deborah attended Carson City College, received her certification from George Washington University and has an array of certifications in areas of insurance brokerage, human resources, FMLA and workers compensation. She previously has served on the State of Louisiana Dpt. of Environmental Quality QAT Team, MTAHU board as Education Chair and is proud to be an active member of NAHU & MTAHU, Middle TN Association of Health Underwriters.

Angela Jenkins-Newell

Angela Jenkins-Newell is a Broker and Business Partner at Horizon Worksite, LLC.  Angela joined Horizon in January 2021.  She brings a lot of experience to the table specializing in the small group segment.  Most of Angela’s career has been spent in the insurance industry.  She specializes in customer service, health and life, and effective contract administration.  Marketing has been one of her life-long passions; each day coming up with innovative solutions to reach various employer audiences through multiple platforms.

Previously, Angela was with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee for 24 years.  She held several positions with Blue Cross such as customer service representative and large group service representative.  She was later promoted to Account Executive Account Manager where she served the Nashville and Chattanooga regions.  Angela served as a consultant with clients and brokers assisting them with their insurance needs.

Angela holds her TN Insurance Producer License, and has various certifications in Customer Service Training, Dr. Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Customer Service Training Program and Own the Moment Facilitator Training.  She has received several awards which include Account Manager of the Year Award, Highest Persistency and Presidents Club Award.
